I believe my grandmother Hallie Hayes ( born in Mecklenburg VA) was the daughter of Alice M Yancey (my g grandmother) and Richard T Hayes. Alice's parents were Rolin (Roland) Yancey and Salina F Harris. Hallie migrdted to North Carolina where she married John C Turner. Their son, my dad migrated to Yuma, AZ where he met my mother.

Just starting this genealogy research and was just amazed and fascinated with all the research. Thanks Julie Turner ( Brent's wife.)

Jane Yancey and William Christmas lines. They lived in Waren Co NC and after William died in 1804 Jane remarried the Widower of Williams sister Martha who died when William did.

I am the daughter of Charles Watson Yancey and Linnie Allen Yancey. I was born in Hayward, California, Janurary 5, 1943. My paternal grandparents were Walter Yancey and Mary Elizabeth Walker Yancey. My father was born in Lenox County, Arkansas, on July 5, 1905, and died March 28, 1995, In Little Rock, Arkansas. I had two siblings: Jimmy Nathan Yancey, born September 17, 1930, and Jo Ann Yancey, born October 17, 1937. Jo Ann was killed in a car accident September 21, 1964.

Thanks so much for this information. I love reading about the history of the Yancey family! I'm not sure when my great-grandparents were in Arkansas, but I do know my grandparents were born in Arkansas.
